What are the chances of getting a prelim-medicine position for an IMG requiring a visa(H1/J1) if matched in an advanced position (Neurology)?

If u know someone who got it or didnot last year. let me know? Desperately looking for help

i am also in the same boat. I have an advanced program (Neuro) on my ROL but i don't have prelim year. I desperately want to know the consequences of not matching into a prelim year while matching in an advanced year.

The worst? You will have to scramble for a prelim/trans spot. But you knew that.

What are the chances of getting one in scramble? i am an IMG and look for H1b.
