Hello,

My name is Jacob Carr and I am researching for an experiment I will carry out in a few weeks. The experiment is a study of the effects of different radiation types on gamete production in Drosophila melanogaster. I will be experimenting with Alpha, Beta, and Gamma ( shaking head ) radiation in more or less daily doses.
I am posting here to gather more information about irradiation in small organisms; particularly insects. Units of radioactive decay seem to be like greek to me (Ha. No pun intended) so I am reaching out to the scientific community for help.
Please post your ideas as far as dosing is concerned so that I might not kill all of my flies!
Thank You,
Jacob Carr
