You are exactly what I'm looking for. I need help, I need motivation. I'm an IMG from Venezuela. My first attempt for USMLE Step 1 will be between June-August 2008. I'm really scared 'cause don't feel ready. I need a starting point. Do u have any suggestions for a beginner like me?

hi guys..finally got a group that has just begun i would like to join u guys aswell...right now im almost done wid patho (3 more days of study and i,ll b thru that blue book hopefully!) btw im reading the kaplan lecture notes for every subject except path for which i wud do goljan as well( as soon as i get my hands on that book ) ive been reading the posts frm previous step 1 takers and wat i concluded was tht the best source of material for step 1 is KAplan lecture notes +dvds..first aid..q bank..and most importantly UW.
my plan is the old ,time tested conventional one..3 reads!
first read kaplan lecture notes wid dvd and questions frm q bank
second read kaplan lecture notes along wid questions frm UW and also go thru first aid
and third read ...first aid solely and few of my weak subjects frm kaplan .
and all this i wish to accomplish in 5 to 6 months...may GOD help me!
i think v shud all post our daily progress and queries here so evrey1 can give his input.any further ideas will b appreciated.good luck studyng .

I am also begining to study step 1, a suggestion is perhaps we make a study group, make a schedule and everyone sort of follow that and may be we can discuss every 2,3 days for an hour atleast and clear concepts,
