Thank you, simon73, study499 and veteran. I have finished reviewing all the wrong Qs in UW. I have about 20 blocks of wrong qs and redid them. It was still pretty hard for me on some of the Pharm and Anatomy. I only scored 68-80% for those bad guys! After finishing all those wrong Qs, I feel I am getting better in terms of thinking. Did another two new blocks and got 75% and 70%. Pharm, especially the side effects and some of the enzymes in biochem are some of my weakeat areas. Start doing better on anatomy. Let's keep improving. Will go see a movie and attend a party over the weekend. Hopefully, I will do the NBME form 2 on Sunday.

Hi simon73 and study499, thanks for stopping by. Just got a bad block on UW, made a lot of mistakes, 56%. Oh, well, hope I can be a bit sharper when I am doing the NBME test.

commit, 56% is not a bad score...esp. when you have more than a month time to the exam...if you get about 70% in every new block of uw's then you prob are ready to take the test very soon... you are in a pretty good shape...and i can see a big 99 awaiting you hope you have killed your nbme. just one qs for you please...how do u read thru the world's explanations? I mean do u read everything? how long you spend on one block of questions?

Hi study499, as for the UW, I read the explanations very quickly and try to get what I can understand. Later on, perodically, you can redo those wrong questions to see if you have understood the concepts or remembered the points. You can choose tutor mode for that. I know those explanations are great. Sometimes, I just got very impatient with them. I have finished the form 2. The question stems were much shorter than UW. It must be easier than the real thing. I scored 530, maybe exactly what I expected. Yeah, there is still a lot of stuff to do to get the 99. But it is a relief that I am not very far away from passing it. Overall, I think it reflects where I am pretty well. Yes, I am a little disappointed. But at the same time I am also quite relieved. It is time to turn up another notch and see a real improvement in a month.

Got stars in 8 categories and no star in 10. Two categories were terrible, behavior science and Nervous systems. Those are both expected. There is only one goal, 99. I know I can get there and I have to get there.

Thank you for your nice words, study499. I am determined to make it happen. I am going to work harder. I am going to be more focused. As for the next four weeks, I am going to focus on improving on my weakest areas. But I will also have a good thorough review. I haven't done anything in behavioral science. I will make sure it will be improved significantly next time. I did best in pathology! Thanks to Dr. Goljan. I am a little surprised I did not do better in biochemistry. Pharmacology is OK. Microbiology and physiology will need some serious improvements. I should be much better in microbiology. Anatomy is not as bad as I suspected. I feel like I have set my teeth into neuroscience and start to have big pictures. I will work extra harder in this area. Musculoskeletal has been consistently one of my weakest areas. I am a little surprised to find out my Respiratory is doing not very well. Next weakest area is Renal. That's about it. I have four weeks until next NBME. I think I will give the first week soly to behavioral science and neuroscience. I will do about 8 to 10 blcoks of UW. I will not care much about the scores. I will focus on learning. Finish microbiology, physiology, general pharmacology and biochemistry in second week. Finish UW in the second week. The final two weeks will be system-wise. Spend one week to redo wrong Qs in UW. Use FA throughout and go deep in related areas by using google and Kaplan. I will listen to Goljan one more time. Do as many Qs as possible. Let's do it.

I have got used to study late during the weekends. I simply couldn't fall asleep at night and had only a few hours of sleep. Working during the day time is such a pain. I am all sleepy and having a big headache. But I have got to be stronger. For the next couple of years, I will not have a whole lot of time for sleep or anything. I have to work efficiently and do more exercise. I don't want to give up my health for studying or working.

Hi usmlekiller, I have repeated some wrong questions and I think the cumulative score was affected a little bit somehow. So it shows 66%. But I think for first time questions, it might be just around 60%. I have actually posted all my scores in the journal. If you don't mind, you can calculate it for me You will be fine!

I envy your youth! GL on your NBME. I have done another block, scored 66%. My pharmacology is getting worse and worse. Time is so limited. I am struggling to choose between studying and practicing Qs. I still have about 40% of UW. Not to mention Kaplan Qbank, I will start that from next month. Those NBME Qs are excellent too. It is driving me crazy! This has to be done before Sep 10. Man, I wish I have 48 hours each day. All I need is to hanging on there and do my best! I am so limited with my time and probably won't update this journal as often as I used to. Good luck, all my friends here.
