Thank you friends. It is absolutely amazing to be a dad. It is even more rewarding than I thought it would be. I am so thankful to have her with us. I wish she will be healthy and happy and enjoy her life.

So here I am. My mother-in-law is with us now and she is a big help to us, especially to me. Finally, I am back with my study. Baby girl, I am going to do this one for you.

With her coming to our life, it is important I can do things more efficiently, so that I can spend time with her more often. So it is not going to be only a chase of 99, it will be a chase of time. I am planning to spend 6 more weeks for step 1 and then 4 months for step 2 CK, 1 or 2 months for CS. This is it, no more delays. Whatever it is, this is only a test. I need to move on with my life. I need to get to the next chapter of my life. Time is truly the essence of life.

Thank you, simon73 and match2010. It has been a hard battle. I could not concentrate at all. It is easy to spend time on my baby and doing things around the house. It is not easy to study for the test any more. I can really understand how simon73 feels and how much pressure he faces. Suddenly, I don't know whether I can do this any more. I just want to spend time with her and feel the happiness around her. It is just hard to resist.

But I am the man of the house. I need to take care of my business. It is for me. It is also for her. I will get better dealing with this.

Hi commit,

I can feel your situation. It is not easy particularly with a newborn as they have so many needs around them, and as you mentioned you also want to spend some time with your baby girl. To me, you had all the concepts nailed and perfectly ready to take the exam with a perfect score (99). All you would need is to prioritize and schedule according to the demands at home. You may consider taking some time-off until things settle down and give the exam whole-hearted attention, alternatively since you are very much ready for the exam, seek the help of your spouse and mother in law and get this exam over with. My wife has been very supportive in taking care of the kids while i try to grab sometime to study, however my kids are little older than yours and as I mentioned the first few months requires most time taking care of them and things will settle down and you will settle in your new routine learning to multitask things.

Best wishes.

Simon, thank you for your kind words. I have a better day today. As you said, it is a matter of getting the new routine set. It is going to be a process.

FA is going to be my main material. Goljan will be listened one more time. I will also subscribe usmlerx next week or so. Let's set the date at 11/22 for now. I will see how things are going.

  #353

Welcome aboard commit! Your plan seems good........after you have done one read of Kaplan First Aid should be good enough! Investing time in knowing every page cold should get most of the questions right. Questions for snacks........ Goljan is dessert! A must have ! Good luck!nod

Thank you, target. I have not done much yet. I just subscribed to usmlerx yesterday and did two blocks. I was supprised that I haven't forgotten too much. I was scoring in the middle 70s. So I am probably in a OK shape and let's finish it up no matter what. It is time to get it done with.

  #355

The questions in usmlerx are not very good. But it does help me to bring my old memories back. Doing Qs is fun. But I also need to sit down and read to further improve. I can do it. I have to do it.

  #356

nice to see u back in the game commit.....best of luck.....u should have no problem wat so ever getting back to where u left off....keep at itnod

  #357

Great to see you back commit, i was just going to ask you about usmlerx, then u already posted. I am sure you will get it back in no time, you have a super duper preparation, so, get back in business and finish it up! wish you the best!nod

hi killer and AD, thank you for your comments.

I have to get this done sooner than later. When I reschedule my test, there is very few dates available in Nov at my prometric center. So I picked the last one Nov 20th. I am going to do it this time. There will always be room to improve. But this is not going to get me anywhere. But any passing score is probably better than no score or waiting one more year for residency.

Plain and simple, Nov. 20 will be the day. Nothing will hold me back. It is time to sit down and work hard on it.

  #359

well said.......best of luck wishing u a 99 as always....nod
