Hi usmlekiller, thank you for your kind words. As for 2nd round of UW, I did it subject wise. I did unused, random the first time. So it was nice to do it differently second time around. You will be able to tell your weakness and also learn some important concepts which are repeated a little bit in each subject. I did the tutor mode, which may save a little time, coz if you do timed mode, you'll have to come back and review it again. Just my 2 cents. You can have it your way and I don't think it matters that much. Important thing is to work on the weaknesses, correct some wrong concepts and reinforce the right thinking processes.

I might be rushing to much and don't feel like I can calm down and study and absorb. I still have some time before the exam. Will slow down a little bit and try to write or copy while I am learning from FA. The FA is an excellent note for those qbanks and NBMEs, I guess. Comparing to FA2006, I can see FA2008 has addition of certain points just to cover some UW or Kaplan Qbanks. Many times, a single sentence makes a very good question. So my thoughts is that FA is excellent source for summarization and good for memorization, while doing UW or Kaplan, especially UW, will improve our problem solving ability (to use what we learn from FA). For most ordinary people, FA+UW should be sufficient to ace the exam. Will take the next 16 days to have a through review of FA and try to write or copy 30 pages each day.

Things are going great. I am working on FA steadily. Sometime, slow is fast. It took me "some time" to realize that. I am really feeling the pressure of getting this close to the exam. However, too much pressure can do no good. Be more relaxed. I will try to use 2 weeks to finish the first FA. 2 weeks to finish another round of FA, while review some previous Qs from Qbooks or notes from UW and Kaplan. Final week, focus on FA. All 4 NBME left will be done. If I can do all that, it will be great. Otherwise, at least 2X FA, I think I am good to go. This is it. Finish the exam as planned, accept whatever score I can get, and move on. I think I have worked hard enough and will have no regret whatsoever. All I need is 5 more weeks of hard work.

Hi simon and usmlekiller, thanks for stopping by. I hurt my neck for the last two days. It hurts very badly. I spent most time sleeping and watching TV, haha. I did not spent any time studying I felt better tonight and finish the test minutes ago. Very disappointing score. I had a very tough first section, the others were OK. Only scored 560/232, (94???). Got stars in all the categories except Behaviroral, Anatomy, histology, muscloskeletal and skin, and nervous systems. Still a long long way to go. I guess I should be really motivated now. No slack for the next month. Gosh, I am so tired of this thing now! Will work hard on those categories. Form 4 this weekend. I am coming!

Compared to last time, I have to say it is a shame. My weak areas are almost the same. I was doing a little better on Anatomy and muscloskeletal last time. I am doing a little better on behaviroal and neurosicence this time. It is almost the same picture. I am tired of this. I will work on these four areas only for a week. I will continue to work on those areas for the next four weeks. I am determined to make them one of strongest areas. Good is not enough, excellence is the only choice. I will be disappointed at myself if those areas don't improve significantly on the real exam.

thank you simon, karime and usmlekiller. My inconsistency is killing me. Honestly, I am really disappointed at my score. I feel I am much better prepared this time. My baby girl is coming. I also need to spend time to be prepared for her. I was thinking to reach the 99 mark this time and set cruise control from here. Apparently, I need to push myself a bit harder to get there. Challenge is welcomed! However, priority is still being a good Daddy. I would like to have a 99 as a gift to my unborn baby girl. All right, time to move on. We can do it!

Here is the plan for the next 6 days. Generally the goal is to have a solid reading of Anatomy and BS. Suspend all the Kaplan Q bank stuff for a week, with at most 1 block a day. Relax and focus on the four weak areas for at least a week, if needed two weeks. View 5 hours of video each day for anatomy and neuroanatomy stuff. Hopefully finish about 100 pages of text each day. Anything beyond this is bonus. Review all the related finished questions. If more, read 40 pages of FA. Give it two weeks, I think I will be in a better shape. Luck is also an important part of the score. I will try my best. I believe anything between 230-260 is possible. The only thing I can take care of is to study hard every day.

First I am sorry for the spoiler for the people who haven't taken this form, if you continue to read. Checked the first block, I cannot believe how many neuro/skeletal/skin/behaviral questions there are. I performed badly on them. There are some mistakes and many knowledge holes. I think this is a great test. Will work hard in those areas. But the anatomy video may not be necessary. Time will be better spent on FA and Kaplan books.

hey commit anat is good in Kaplan lecture notes and with FA you should be okay. Neuroanat videos are good and help understand better - if you have the time! Good luck

thank you karime and usmlekiller. Indeed, this is a great opportunity. I was in serious denial right after the test. Right now, I am happy like a kid. Lots of work to do in the next 30 days. Give FA two rounds, finish Kaplan, finish all the forms, go through old notes. That sounds loads of fun. At least, I should be happy this thing will be over soon.
