I'm pretty damn sure you will get a 99!

Keep at it.

Great going commit. Yes, loving USMLE is the only way to own it and get the best score we want.

  #203

I am still working on those damn UW Qs. I am exhausted! But one thing good is that after doing those Qs, reading FA becomes more enjoyable and interesting. I wish I could have more time to read FA after finishing those Qs. Also, I just had barely enough time for doing those Qs and could not squeeze some more time for Goljan audio or Anatomy stuff.

52 more days to go! No time for slack!

wow, commit, you are working really hard, i have no doubt it will all pay off, you are doing what you plan exactly. you are almost there, so keep working!

Hi AD, good to see you. Yeah, I am really pushing myself to the limit right now. Too much to do with too little time. And on top of that, I keep forgetting things. Still have about 700Qs left in UW. I think I will lose my sanity soon. I will probably do some adjustments to aim for 100Qs and 50 pages of FA if possible. As long as I am still capable, I will not let up. Score is not that important any more. I am just trying to take care each and every day and make sure I work really hard. Hopefully a 99 will come to me.

Count the wrong date last time, 49 more days to go!

thanks killer, still going. Only have pathology UW Qs left now. Will work on them for the next 4-5 days. At least, I feel like I have learned something by doing this second round of UW. It is a very good Qbank. But reading FA seems to be essential too and I have to allocate more time on that.

thank you, tia, simon and killernod

I had an OK weekend. I am almost there with about 150 Qs left in UW. So hopefully I will be finally done with it before Tuesday. It is almost time for another NBME form. I felt like I have not done anything other than redid UW. Whatever. I am doing my best. I couldn't care less about what's going to happen with my final score. The goal is to finish step 1 before the birth of my baby girl and give the exam all I have between now and then.

Hi usmlekiller, I sure will let you know. I have been too busy doing Qs and did not read much in the last 10 days. I personally think that was a bad move. I learned something, but probably not as much as I wanted or needed. But anyways, I will try to read FA and goljan in the next 5 or 6 days. Hopefully that will make me better.

  #214

yes it will....have faith...i think doing uw was a very smart move...it will def pay off....keep at it nod

hi commit,

I dont see anything short of 99 in your score sheet, Keep it going. Any advise on how to avoid silly mistakes, particularly the ones made due to not thinking through the question would be appreciated. I have read the strategies in different books, but am interested in knowing how you handle it.

hi commit,

Thank you, usmlekiller, simon and study499.

Sometime I am stressed out that I don't have the time to be perfect. By "perfect", I mean, read the Kaplan books, Goljan RRP and FA thoroughly two or three more times and finish all the Qbanks 2X. I know that will be overkill, but it makes me feel safer and better.

Right now, I just have barely enough time for cramming. I won't be able to study full-time either. But life is not perfect. Enough whining, I should be happy that I still have time to improve. It is also better to study intensively in a short time than slowly over a long time. The only thing I can control is how hard I am trying. I will not be intimidated by the overwhelming stuff. I will repeat until they stick.

  #218

Finally, it is done. I am finished with UW. Now it is time to review FA and Goljan stuff. Hopefully that can be done in 5 days. Will do NBME 5 or 6 on Sunday.

  #219

nice job man....u did uw mad fast.....props to u......gl on nbme.....by the way...by goljan stuff u mean just his rr book or his high yield notes?

Thanks usmlekiller, I meant goljan RR book. Time is running out on me. I have 44 days left. I will start doing Kaplan next week. I will try to finish that in about two weeks. After that, I will have about 20 days to focus on reviewing FA, Goljan and all the wrong Qs. That's the plan. Along the way, I probably will give one NBME form each week. Man, I am a little nervous, I don't think I am 99 material right now. I will just do what I have to do and hope for the best.
