Thanks fellows doctors for making a wonderful place like this.I am planning for the step 1 for last one year.But delaying things is one of my biggest assets for which i let myself down many times.I cant live with that any more, i have started my prep last week.will take around may/june.I am not a genius like many friends here in this forum.But i have made my mind that i have to do it within the limited time.Hope i can get support from all you guys.i am writing this just to motivate me and if anyone is in the same boat is very welcome to join in.

i am doing neuroanatomy now.Will finish in next 20 hours. just first read. I am doing Kaplan,Any other good advice for this section.

Kaplan NA is very much ok i guess

HI RED, I AM DOING NEURO ANATOMY NOW.I WILL FINISHED KAPLAN NEURO NEXT FEW HOURS,WISH ,THEN WANT TO MOVE TO SOME PATHOLOGY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF NERVOUS SYSTEM,LETS SEE HOW IT WORKS,MY PLAN IS TO STUDY 14 HOURS A DAY,AFTER ANATOMY I WILL DO BIO-CHEMISTRY AND MICRO-IMMUNOLOGY SIDE BY SIDE WHICH I WANT TO FINISH BY MARCH 5TH,WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Thats all for today, i get tired with Neuro .just so so, it was my first day,as kaylann said first day should not count, hehe,i am findind an excuse for my quantity study than quality study today,once i will use to it ,it may hardly few hours to get the quality. my plan for tomorrow is to stick with Kaplan NA.Lets see how far i can go.i am desperately need the HY NA. can anybody help,Drinking some Hot Milk Now,My mother forced me drink milk when i was in middle school.she used to tell me it will make me sharp.I used to fought her for that.I miss her now ,I will make you proud , good night

According to my friends Neuroanatomy is the toughest subject, so dont panic, quality matters, try using a anatomy atlas, i am planning to use keith L.Moore.

i am back now,after a gap of one and half day, i am still doing neuro anatomy,using both kaplan and HY neuro anatome, hope those two enough, i just started bio chem yesterday, did the lipid sections, i am doing it from lippincott now,how are you doing guys?

Hey Luka,
1st time to cehck ur journal ... love ur determination .. keep going ..
1 advice ... just stick to Kaplan notes in all fields ... loose Lippincott ... too much for the exam... use Kaplan notes instead ... and listen to their videos to help u ... one more thing ... Molecular Biology constitutes about 50 % of q pole in Bio, while Metabolism constitutes 30 - 40 % ... so, better to start with molecular biology ,...watch the videos and focus understand this part very well and u'll ace it ISA ... follow it with Genetics because 2 are realted to each other then metabolism leave it for the last ..
I'm currently doing Molecular biology ... in Cahpter 7 ... the last of it ... will follow that with Genetics ISA ... so, i'm with u in this journey ... I'm also should do my test in may or june ..
I'm here if u needed anything , will check the site every couple of hours ..

Dear Mezo, it feel so good to hear from you, thanks for step by and your advice, i will stick to Kaplan,we can do it together, how much you finished,i wanna start phrama right after bio chem as it involve lot of reactions.i will stick to Kaplan for almost all the sub except pathology.i will take the exam in may too or at June.Have a good time Mezo

I'm also happy to hear from u, I finished Molcular biology just yesterday, Today Starting with Genetics, both are closely related ... hope that i can finish genetics in 2 days at maximum ...
Me too will review pharma after Bio .. gr8 ..we could do it together isa ..
Rgarding pathology, and this is from a 99er friend of mine, he adviced me to stick to kaplan too in pathology ... his words was that kaplan has all the infos u need, in a concise and to the point format, although not liked by many ... so, he offered a compromise, where i don't watch kaplan videos of pathology, the guy is just reading the books, u can read it urself, but instead u listen to Goljan and use the notes provided with it just to follow, Don't use Goljan Rapid review, too much details, so ... the lecture from goljan and the study from Kaplan notes & Later u can use Goljan 100 high yield notes for final review ...
He also added one more detail, he said don't listen to Goljan at the begining of ur prep., u should do it in ur 2nd or 3rd reading ...y ? bec. it is not just about pathology, it has Bio, Pharma, physio ... i.e. it is more like a review for step1 based on pathology ....
Now, how about u?? what did u do in Bio & genetics???

It should be a Mnemonic for X-Linked recessive diseases, i don't understand the sentence, so i can't use it as a Mnemonic ...
It corresponds to Bruton's dse, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, Fragile-X sundrome, G6PD deficiency, Ocular albinism, Lesh-Nyhan syndrome, Duchenne's muscular Dystrophy, Hemophilia A & B, Fabry's dese, Hunter's Syndrome .

that is exactly what i am doing, GL luka and mejo.
i have a mneomonic for x linked recessive,
" He and Dupree is Watching X-men(Rated) in Father's LG tv.
Hemophilia A and B, Hunter's syndrome, Duchen Muscular dystrophy, Wiscott-Aldrich syndrome, Fabry's diease, Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, G6PD deficiency.
X-men Rated, for X link Recessive.

i didnt put fragile x, because of controversy. some say dominant, some say recessive, but i didnt have brutons there, may be i should change it to " He, his Brother and Dupree"
