i'm sure this was discussed before, but i wasnt able to find any posts that correlated your usmle world percentage to your actual step 1 score. in other words, what do most of you think is a good enough percentage on UW questions to pass the exam?

any replies would be greatly appreciated.

It largely depends on what kind of score you want to achieve.
There is a formula, (UW percentage x 2.3 plus 84).
But we dont know how accurate or precise it is. It lacks the CI and p value smiling face
Anyways, this should help you to somehow gauge your aptitude or ineptitude.
The result was close to what samisaf got. (261 and 266)

Hope this helps.

thanks step99 and JavMD for your replies...i have taken NBME form 4 and scored a 440, and currently my percentage on UW is 54%. i honestly just want to pass the exam, since i dont think i can actually score a 99.

with UW questions, i understand what they are asking me, but what keeps my score kind of low is my forgetfullness...so hopefully my score will increase as i start to review now.

btw, do you think that 54% is a good enough percentage, or should i try to raise it before i take the exam? i have 3 months left to actually take the exam.

dont worry man you have plenty of time.
I have less than that and actually aiming to 99.
just keep going.

I meant time. There is a lot you can accomplish in that time frame.
Good luck.
