hey guys, i failed my step 1 and i'm thinking of proceeding to step 2, instead of retaking step 1 first. i'm not exactly sure if this is a good idea and i want to ask for some feedbacks. thanks so much. and i really appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hi smiling face its ok , Im a 79er and believe me its better to fail than pass with a low score so feel happy smiling face

If it will make you feel bad to read all from the beginning , and if you feel you cant take this in a near future once more , go ahead , read step 2 , the info you grab from step 2 will help in step 1 too ... but the risk is step 1 material is very easily forgettable ... so if I was in the same situation , I would wait no more and start asap back with step 1 before everything in your mind flies away ! If you give a dedicated 3 mo , Im sure you will pass very easily and when reading step 2 , there will be no step 1 buzzing you in the back of your brain ...

whatever you decide , best luck buddie nod

I failed step 1 , and because I was so sick of it I decided to take Step 2 CK next . It was no tragedy , but CK took longer than normal ...around 1 year ....because some of the stuff in Kaplan notes was new to me . It was some step 1 material that I didn't master . So what I am saying is that the information in your books will be enough , but i think it's easier if you master it from step 1 and then use it in Step 2 . My Step 2 score was 95 , so it was not influenced , but it did take longer to get there .

Good luck and my advice would be to face your fear first and then move on ! That's what i would change if i were to do it all again .
