Dear BBB
I got 181 on my step 3 and now I have to go for a second attempt. I wanted to know how the second attempt affects my chances for fellowship (I am already in residency). Have you seen residents having problems entering fellowship due to their step 3 issues.

The PD that I work with doesn't look to closely at the step 3 scores or number of attempts. The way that we see it is that applicants take step 3 so that they can apply for an H1b visa, if they are available.

I ve got a fellowship position without having done Step 3 yet. So....PDs don't really care about this one's score/attempts.

if777 did u gear yourself towards doing research and all related to your targeted fellowship to secure fellowship position?
