Hi everyone,
1) When does the match usually start and end?
2) When do I have to be done with my steps to try for the 2010 match?

Applicant registration begins at 12:00 noon eastern time.
September 1, 2007
Institution / program registration begins at 12:00 noon eastern time.
November 30, 2007
Applicant registration deadline
Note: Applicants may register after this deadline by paying an additional late registration fee of $50.00 when registering after 11:59 PM eastern time.
January 15, 2008
Rank order list entry begins.
Applicants and programs may start entering their rank order lists at 12:00 noon eastern time.
January 31, 2008
Quota change deadline
Programs must submit final information on quotas and withdrawals by 11:59 PM eastern time.
February 27, 2008
Late registration deadline
Rank order list certification deadline
Applicants and programs must certify their rank order lists by 9:00 PM eastern time. Staff will be available to answer your questions during the final deadline hours. CERTIFIED applicant and program rank order lists and any other information pertinent to the Match must be entered in the R3 System by this date and time.

Applicant matched and unmatched information posted to the Web site at 12:00 noon eastern time.
March 18, 2008
Filled and unfilled results for individual programs posted to the Web site at 11:30 am eastern time.
Locations of all unfilled positions are released at 12:00 noon eastern time. Unmatched applicants may begin contacting unfilled programs at 12:00 noon eastern time.
March 20, 2008
Match Day! Match results for applicants are posted to Web site at 1:00 pm eastern time.
March 21, 2008
Hospitals send letters of appointment to matched applicants after this date.

a bit more to the second question:
first choice: If you can have all your steps (including step 3) before sept 1, that's the best
second: be certified by sept 1.
third: apply with wathever you have as early as you can.
Schedule CS EARLY.... there are usually few spots available, and takes longer to get the results.

so what happens after march 21? When does the matched person start attending the program ?

around 1st July. After the match paper work starts, including contract and sponsor letters and in june many programs have orientations and BLS, ACLS courses etc.

Prueba: If I passed step2CK and take step2 CS before registration but don't have results yet. Can I register with my CK results only and send CS or step1 results later to them???
