obese patients have more fat... cholesterol production is linearly related to body fat... more cholesterol production leads to excess which the body tries to excrete in bile... therefore the bile is going to have an increased concentration of cholesterol - this predisposes to cholesterol stones and sluggish flow!

yeah ! may be but are u sure that increasing cholesterol secretion in bile would make it more slugguish?!! i have read in some sites that the link between obestiy ! and stasis is that when obese patients try to lose weight first thing they do is to NEARLY STOP FAT INTAKE ! WHICH REDUCES CHOLECYSTOKININ AND REDUCES GALL BLADDER CONTRACTION PRODUCING STASIS BUT! STILL NOT CONVINCED MUCH ! HOPE SOME ONE WOULD GIVE MORE EXPLANATIONS PLS
