NET10 works in any GSM phone rite? or i gotta buy some handset from NET10 only?i did see some good handsets on their website.

Hey, thank you!

I think tri-band phones work in US too. yours wont work..mine didnt either.. I still carried mine and used it at the airport.. net10 gives you a very basic nokia phone (dont know the model no) for free with that $30 plan.. I bought that.. And I dont know if it works with any other phone as well.. Good luck!

Hey guys!
Now that all of you have applied (hopefully) and are sitting there fretting about everything that could possibly go wrong I have an excellent suggestion wink (though many of you have possibly beaten me to it)--Buy Dr Atul Gawande's Book
'Better' (and also complications in case u havent read it) and go through it; 2 advantages
1. it is phenomenal!!
2. it will give u interesting things to talk about during interviews

Have fun everyone!
Trust me once in residency 'taras jaoge'grin

Hey guys... Although I have asked these questions about CAF on another thread, I want to you know what you guys think about these.

1. Should i put my clinical elective rotations as work experience?

2. What does "Board Certified" mean?
"Board certification is a voluntary process that a physician undergoes to assure the public that he or she has successfully completed an approved educational program and the appropriate examinations to practice in a particular specialty or sub-specialty" In India, on graduation from med school, we can register with the state medical council and are licenced to practice independently... Does this qualify as "Board certification"..? raised eyebrow

3. Should I mention my Internship as one experience or list all my rotations separately?

4. Is it okay to include pre-med school reseacrh experience?

5. Why does the application section have both a CAF and CV when the two essentially have the same information?

6. is it okay to include non-medical teaching experience as work experience? It says on the CAF that "Include Clinical and Teaching experience as work experiences"

PS: I know some of these questions have been already asked on here, but I found different opinions in different threads.

1. Should i put my clinical elective rotations as work experience? Work experience = paid. So, depends whether you were paid or not.

Does this qualify as "Board certification"..? raised eyebrow This refers to taking exams after specialization. ep Peds board vertified, IM, FM etc. Board certification is NOT = general license to practice.

3. Should I mention my Internship as one experience or list all my rotations separately? Depends on your preferance, Some folks list out separately, others club it together.

4. Is it okay to include pre-med school reseacrh experience? Dunno.

5. Why does the application section have both a CAF and CV when the two essentially have the same information? No clue. However, it doesn't matter, coz we're not required to spend any time creating the other document which essentially has the same info. I guess you just asked out of curiosity, right?

6. is it okay to include non-medical teaching experience as work experience? It says on the CAF that "Include Clinical and Teaching experience as work experiences" Again, no idea. Perhaps bbb can help with this.

PS: I know some of these questions have been already asked on here, but I found different opinions in different threads. And you found one more opinion here.

Good luck, hitesh, and everyone else too.
