Hey hitesh, thanks for asking! This is my "golden weekend" so its been good...started off at NICU...am having fun in a sort of morbid overworked kafka way but I got my SSN and its still summer so am grateful for what I have!! No seriously, it is fun...just busy...hope u are stockpiling ur fun experiences coz next year will be same for u

Hey.. That sounds fun.. It really does to me, 'cos I 've been sitting at home studying monotonously for months now.. I am itching to work.. havent even been out of Delhi in almost an yr now.. I'm planning to take a trip somewhere once i'm done applying..
So, you're gonna get your first salary (in US) now then, huh.. Pretty cool.. any plans as to what you gonna do with it? ( ofc it wont be your "first" salary since u already did a residency here.. but its still something, isnt it..)
Anyways, good to see that you're still hanging around helping people.. i thought u had disappeared but just realised that you've been active in paeds forums.. I appreciate that.. Hope you keep this going.. Take care!

Interviewing itself will make sure u travel enough and with some luck and forethought u can make a fantastic experience out of all the travelling...
Regarding salary, I actually got paid last mnth itself and this was inspite of having missed about 10 days of work (coz I got my visa a bit late) so it was very nice!! Most of intial pay goes in housing security, rent and appliance pay, getting internet set, commuting etc...so its pretty boring...but now am due to get my second pay and should make more of it...Indian crowd of boston have a sort of celebration for Indian Independence and am going there in the even..should be interesting...how I love free weekend!

Oh, i thought u dont get your salary till u have ur ssn..
Enjoy the Independence day celebration! It's good to have a good weekend.. Makes your next week a lot easier and u dont feel it till its thursday already with the next weekend waiting I wish I always work 5 days a week...

Laptops are definitely cheaper in US.. Or even if you buy on eBay, the shipping cost will be less in US... Good Luck!
