my creds 99(236)/99(239)/pass all first attempt. no USCE nor US lor...plan for neurology(first choice) and IM as back up.
i dont know my chances and even no one would no..but to remain safe side i asked.
need visa-- forget to mention.

Wot motorola said is 100% right, i scrambled last year, so i know the pain, very negligible chance when u need visa during scramble.

it is sad, innocent people are dying everyday and the govt is just "condemning" the actions and politicians are talking on TV shows....even 3 doctors got killed!
mumbai/jaipur/bangalore/ahemdabad......do we need more blasts?

Politicians everywhere are useless, in my opinion. But the ones in India I feel must be the worst. I feel a little bad saying that coz it's my country, but they are truly the scumbags of the planet.

I heard that a few survivors of initial blasts went to the hospital and were hit there by the subsequent one. Feeling terrible about the entire situation. Our country must find a solution and fast.

Sad to hear the killing especially hospital .. where suppose to be like red cross.. neutral zone, no killing, peace , no war zone 
What happen to our most beautiful place in the world , far East .. ppl craving for power, not care about the innocent ordinary ppl

and the worse part intelligence agency says it had informed state govts way before !!
what do these people wait for .... things to happen and then ''condemn '' them on television and order yet another investigation !!!
good thing people have become alert now... two cars loaded with explosives and 18 live bombs were found in time and were defused ....thank god for that.

How difficult/easy is it to get the Statement of Need [I think that's what it's called] from the Govt/Mnistry of Health when applying for J1?

I dont think so. I did some 12-13 interviews. 11 were willing to sponsor H1b. There are many good programs that sponsor H1b.

That is true Paheli. Most of the people I know are on H1. Indians wouldnt mind compromising on the program or location for the H1b visa. And I dont think that is a bad thing. H1b has its advantages (though I am not sure I understand the differences as clearly as I would want to!)
