Dear Digant, Congratulation and Best wishes for your step 2. I have just finished my 1st review and planning to do my 2nd review by doing usmleworld and reading it's answer and explanation with kaplan notes. I think it is more efficient to keep in mind the subjects rather than just reviewing the kaplan's note again alone. But I am not sure about this decision. I would really appreciat if you help me. thanks

yea he was smart to leave usmle world for the end.. i dont recommand doing usmleworld after ur first read.. u need to have a strong concept to attempt usmleworld to begin with.. after the 2nd read is probably best and after qbook also..

sorry for late reply....bcoz i dont have internet connection at my home.. using my friends connection... thanx to all of u. to atash-- yousefreda is right...i think u world shoud be done along with 3rd reading after completing q book... and kaplan anatomy is more than enough for exam...i used highyield bcoz my knowledge was totaly zero in those subjects..so i have used hy just for to boost my confidence in those subject... one more thing... i got hardly 12 to 15 qs abt pure anatomy,histo,embryo...in my real exam...majority were abt patho, pathophysio, pharma etc.....

It is saying that someone needs 9 months to pass the usmle . WHo can afford such time when one has to think about putting food on the table , paying bills , rent and taking care of a family ..
It can be disocuraging to the average person and creates a perception that an exceedingly long time frame is needed ... food for thought ..why re read stuff that you already know ?? I'd say three or four months is plenty time .. if one also has a job and family to take care of ... guys .. u don't need to take so long ...anyone that does this approach is clearly NOT effective ..

one thing i would like to mention that, i m doing my internship rtnow.. and i studied for step 1 along with my internship running on....so i took a 9 month for that... i agree with linda99 that no one should waste 9 month for step 1..... and i know i m not a such a inteligent guy who can remember everything by reading a book a one time....may be u got a mind of albert einstain(correct spelling if i m wrong) and can memorise every thing by just one reading....if u can......hats off sir..... and guys we r not here to comment on other guys... just grasp good things from here...otherwise just forget abt it

Linda99 wrote: scary a few months of dedicated studying should be more than enough .. if one knows how to study they will do very well with a time frame of 3 months ... most people do this while they are working ...the idea is not to keep reading over the material .. just my 2 cents
