2003 IMG. USMLE: Step 1 99/242; Step 2CK 98/237; Step 2CS passed; Step 3 87/210. All passed first attempt. USCE: planning to complete by August at least 3 months externship in private practice and university-afiliated community hospital. Volunteered at ER in a university hospital from 2005 to 2007. But no other medicine-related work experience between 2003 and 2008. GC holder. Great thread! Good luck everyone!!

Hello All, I have done and passed my Step 2 Cs and Ck, step one at the end of July. But prep for step one is not finished yet. Exam in a couple of weeks. I had hoped to try to Match in 2009, Should i just go ahead with the prep half done, or just delay the exam (therefore the chance to apply in the match too this year) ? And try next year, with a good score, . I really dont want to miss the match, but dont want to screw up the chance to get in anyway because of a bad score So anyone with any good suggestions?

To C_blue: we are all under similar pressures. Very few have it all perfectly in order. It's all about juggling, multi-tasking, and still succeeding. I am now working on CK, applications, and looking for USCE. And it's success this year or nothing for me. I wish everyone all the best. We are going through the same thing, and we are all capable of succeeding.

Hi Is there is special CV section on myeras?? I am filling out the PDF CAf form from a sample CV I had prepared earlier, and also framing personal statements from what many many points I had jotted jown roughly. Also struggling with CK got my LOr's in hand, and MSPE done, but not with me yet. About research for hospitals.. I gather the only way to get the information is to e-mail and call programs from eras website.. Is that right? Or am I missing some feature of the ERAS website? Also calling up hospitals for USCE.

Hi! How's everybody doing? I have a rookie question... is it okay to apply to 2 different specialties in the same hospital? I had my heart set on applying to 1 specialty only, however I was advised to apply to another specialty. Should I reconsider applying to another specialty or is it better to put all your eggs in one basket when it comes to the match? Would appreciate your advice.
