My fiance's : 91/81/cs this month/2 observership.
Good luck to all!

Hi everybody , This post made me realise that its time for the match !
Im a 2001 grad
step1 248/99
CS-pass 1st attempt
CK- taking in july end /step3 september
observership to start in a private clinic in august . Gap of 2 n half years in CV , basically since i came to US havent done anything.
Do not need visa .
Completed ophthalmology residency in own country .
My choice in order --- ophthalmology/ transitional year / IM followed by oncology .
Im extremely worried that lack of research and gap of 2 1/2 yrs will ruin my chances .

Can someone help me with this Q. If i get my LOR on august 15th how many days would it take for them to upload it and make it available with my application ? Thanx

  #131

Yes, even I am wondering the same how much time does it take , though it is sooner the better as in late August there is flooding so everything gets slowed down...but can some one tell how much time will it take if LOR is sent in mid-August..

2007 grad, applying for 2009

step1 -99

step 2 CS- awaiting results

step 2 CK- plan to take by mid-august

aim: IM /PEADS

No USCE

Need H1 Visa

3 LOR from home country, not waiving my right, as I have already got them.

This application does not look strong enough to me.

I wish I could apply next year.. but then I become an Old graduate next year.

Milee99 you have two strong credentials: fresh graduate nod and step 1------->99. Try to get some USCE. Good luck!

Just started to work on my PS. What are you guys doing? Let's try to make this support thread more active. Nine weeks to go for application season!

I am reading. The Residency Match 101 Big mistakes by Samir. P. Desai.

I have got my LOR's . My parents had to get it done from college. My Professors were so nice, and helped them complete all the formalities. One of them even went through all the document work herself. I don't know what I can do to thank them enough.

I will also get my MSPE in next 2 weeks.

I have written a PS for IM and have begun working on one for peds.. I have all the points ready, just have ti structure it.. I have the CV i am using for observerships. so maybe with few changes can use that.

Thanks caduceus. It is indeed very interesting.

Milee99: Great, you just reminded me that i have to bother my Lor's writters to update them and I should start now. The MSPE is going to be a pain in my neck since my medical school doesn't do that. OMG so many things to do...

Good luck everyone!
