For the people that have taken the test.
What is the difference between crush and FA?
I do not have FA and not planning to buy it.
How helpful was Crush for the xam?
Sometime it seems to little information in the crush book.
Anyways this is what I'm doing:
1- Reliying 100% in UW
2- Reading Crush
3- I need to go over the videos IM again.
4-I'm taking notes from UW and learning them very good.
For step1 they took me from for sure Fail to Pass the exam, that is why I'm counting hevily for step2 UW.
So what do you think about my plan also?

I haven't done CK yet....but to me crush didn't appeal much. This is my stuff:
- Boards n Wards
- Secrets
- Conrad Fischer's flashcards
- FA ( I would love to do if i get time)
- UW
- NBME (book format) & USMLE cd
and PRAY TO GOD!!!

ok me havent done ck yet
but if u r kind of person ,dont want to switch over to different books again and again,keep kaplan and uw,and crush ,just to remind you of odd things and highlight ,that we usually miss and prone to forget so crush is not a whole rview that u can rely upon ,but u can focus on amnesic part in crush
1 more thing ,first aid good ,if u dont like kaplan way of writing which is everything in single row and column,in first aid things in highlights and tables,so u are type of person who pick up tables and neat and clean point wise lines,then do first aid,but remeber to skip kaplan and do first aid as good highlight summarywid addition of some kaplan points or uw points in it,but dont dare to miss single word,as each word need to be retained,
advantage of kaplan u r reading a standard learning with repitition agaian and again,so if u missed imp point somwhere,kaplan will repeat that imp point again,so u wont miss,so keep highlight kaplan,stimulate and focus amnesic point doing uw ,thats wat em doing,plus few other high yield kaplan q bank and q book review
,so close to exami will read of all kaplan once,follwed by uw notes and crush ,and few notes i pasted as links high yield
i sneaked looks at secrets and boards and wards,ofcourse good,but then skip the kaplan and choose 1
,but i have seen conflict between uw questions and bnw and secret some.... managemnent step,....eg,wat to do next type questions,
IN SHORT...as KEY is rev,just stick,cling,chew,digest,and absorb,watever u choose,,no jumping between secret and bnw and kaplan,choose 1 dont forget uw ofcourse with ur primary
but if u can handle all books,do watever u like and as much as u want

Crush seems more appealing to me than FA. i have read kaplan notes also. I am doing UW, Crush & FA & Qbook. UW is very difficult. It needs revision & taking notes. That's just my opinion.
Also if you make your own notes I understand the disease's differences easier. Only thing is make sure I will be able to revise my own notes one more time.

i agree!
this is what i m planning to do:
Kaplan 3x
UW 1x ( make notes out of them - online)
3 NBME forms hopefully ( all online)
thats it.
also a question: Is there any thing like NBME prediction and your actual usmle score ( corelation?) --- people say there is strong corelation in step1. im thinking if it is true for step2 as well.

am also planning to hit crush and uw hard after am done with kapqbank...have gone thru secrets but i think crush with its bold outlines willl be a faster last minute review and yes it seems more hy than fa though obg gyn,derm ,ped are better covered in fa

For what I have read NOOOOOOOOOOOT
I ask that question sometime ago and basicly you need to score above 450 in ALL of those NBME to have at least a passing score.
And that NBME1 was the most easy like in step1.
