I'm on an H4 visa.
When can i apply for my H1B Visa.Is it only through a program which will sponsor me? Can't i apply for H1B Visa with my step 2 cs scores. What are the options that I have?

H4 is spouse of H1, right?

you cannot just apply for an H1 visa, no matter what results of what exams you have. An employer (i.e.hospital, a program) has to sponsor you and prepare a bunch of paperwork after you match with them. Choose your programs wisely since not all offer H1.
