Is it hard to find dates for step 3 unless you do it way ahead of time. I havent started studying for step 3, i am thinking i will be ready to take it by mid april but can delay it too if felt unprepared...thats why i havent registered myself yet. But now someone mentioned its hard to find dates for step 3 within 4-6 weeks time frame. Is that true...Are there any test centers that are more busier than others. Please help.

I m sorry that no one has answered your question.
I have little idea how the dates are available but why don't you apply and get 90 days eligibility period. Getting scheduling permit takes about 1 week. I think you can sit for it as late as May 20 if you apply by now.
This is my rough estimate.
Lets wait advices from seniors.
