I will pick D. Using Nernst equation,increasing extracellular cation concentration causes a more positive membrane potential;this is called depolarization.Decreasing extracellular cation concentration causes a more negative membrane potential;this is called hyperpolarization. Reverse applies for anions.

only extracellular potassium conc changes produce changes in resting membrane potential....if the same ques was asked for sodium.... no change wud b seen
