Hi,

I have one question. If i rank a program on 2nd position in my ROL which I know is ranking me high...and I put another program at 1st position. If the 1st program doesnt rank me high enough to match with them...will it decrease my chances of matching at 2nd program in my ROL if that program has ranked me enough high on their list?

Inputs much appreciated.
GL.

No. You have the same chances even if you rank that program on the 50th position and the 49 above this don't take you.. NRMP site clarifies that perfectly.

well said!! nod again... read about the match algorithm at NRMP website, you clearly are having one of the worse misconceptions about it, and don't really understand it!! You might make mistakes while doing your ROL.... read it!! Rank according to your preference!!!

I am sure you will match Lost_in_usa. Then you will not be called lost in usa but settled in usa. God bless you. I appreciate your struggle and patience.
