BBB: Someone asked this on another thread but you never clearly answered, do you think it's "appropriate" to contact a program director and asked if you will be ranked and if you did, how would you justify your question? it's kinda odd, don't you think?

Answered or not, I appreciate all the help you've given on this forum!

I get calls all the time - will you be ranking me. My answer can only be "yes" or "no". I can't tell you where you will be ranked - EVER. PDs get emails all the time - the answers will be about the same.

Dear "adipose",

Please make sure you explain to BB you did not mean to offend her. In case neither of you noticed, you addressed your question to the "infamous" BBB. Well, infamous is meant to describe someone in rather negative terms. I admit it is easy to miss it, the positive term would be "famous".

  #10

hihihihi I thought that too!!! But I'm sure bbb understood what he or she was trying to say! sticking out tongue

No no no, I did not mean to offend her, of course not. She has been great help to this forum, to us, why would I do that... if any feelings were hurt, I apologize, of course.

  #12

thanks for your correction.

  #13

It takes a lot more than calling me "infamous" to get through my thick skin.

No apology needed. Thank you to all for defending my honour!

(still chuckling)

Hi BBB,

I am just curios . I just noticed you spelled Honour....That is a British custom and also people from Canada use it as well. Are you Canadian? Just a simple question because my Girlfriend is Canadian.

Any way thanks for all your help all the time. You are very consistent that is a great human quality.

I also spell "colour" and "centre". Does it count if my great grandfather was born in Canada?

So in your opinion bbb ,there is no problem if we ask programs will they rank us

  #17

Anzar,

Are you planning on asking the programs? I want too, but I don't want to sound awkward at the same time.. BBB said she gets emails and phone calls all the time -- I was thinking about emailing the program... But I don't have the guts to do so.. I dunno.. don't want to sound dumb to the program...

  #18

Also, I have no idea how I would go about writing such an email...

Dear so and so,

Will you be ranking me?

--> I think it's kinda wierd. But I am so curious because a program I Iv'd for Iv'd only 27 people for 6 seats -- BUT the chief resident told me they are not ranking everyone... so that is why I am so curious.. anyways, GL

  #19

YEAH i TOO WANT TO BUT DONT KNOW SHOULD i ASK????????
I think bbb should reply
Shall we call program and ask them?

I did answer this earlier. I wrote:
