I went through all the previous responses, N=20, and did a statistical analysis. Based on my number crunchin these are the multipliers. Basically if you take your percentage correct from uw, cd/nmbe or qbank, multiply by the multiplier, it should give you an estimate of what to expect on the Step 3. (Note: the multiplier for UW is the most accurate since the N was so high, most people gave their experience with UW) UW: multiplier 1.460 (N=20) (i.e. 62% correct X 1.46 = approx 226) cd/NMBE: multiplier 0.2 (N=8) qbank: multiplier 1.292 (N=4) Again this is not a 100% but it should give you an idea. The multiplier for the actual STEP III score: take the percentage correct and multiply by 2.44. should give the score. (i.e. 87 X 2.44 = 211)

Just finished taking Step 3 today. I'm worried out of my mind. I screwed up on 1 of the CCS cases (gave the pt a completely unnecessary med and mislabeled the diagnosis but flew through 7 of the other cases). Does anyone know if these multipliers are really accurate? UW: multiplier 1.460 (N=20) (i.e. (i.e. 87 X 2.44 = 211) If so I got Kaplan Qbank= 62% and the math says I would get 195. Am I freaking out over nothing?

yes you are freaking out over nothing. with N of 4, 8 and 20 these calculations are not power full enough to haven any significant prediction. look at the nbme multiplier and try solving some of the previous scores.
