For some reason, this hospital keeps coming up every once in a while... I'm not sure why that is.. I found it to be an "ok" community hospital, but that was about it. Nothing too impressive. city is boring. staff is ok. residents are ok, not the best or brightest. Pass rates on med boards is in 80's (you can check it out on the internal medicine website)... don't know why people are stressing over this hospital. Again, only 4 seats are going to the match, so it's basically similar to playing the lotto -- in my opinion, there are better hospitals out there.. GL and I hope you guys match there if it's your number 1 choice.

http://www.abim.org/residency/statistics.aspx Check it out.. it's the statistics for every single program in the states by the AMERICAN BOARD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE... it's something a lot of us fail to check out... Akron has one of the worst... kinda embarrassing. GL

No, I applied everywhere and took anything... I was asking you just because I know toledo has a worse pass rate and just wanted to warn you... thought maybe you were sticking around ohio area -- most of my IV's were in NY.-- I found NY to have better pass rates BUT most hospitals iv'd wayyy too many people and chances are slim with everyone coming in at 99 99 99 (or so they claim).. I guess we will just have to wait and see on match day. I really hate this process. GL

B12 they have 4 seats for the match outta 8 seats so i guess 4 have already been offered as prematch. During your interview did PD ask you a lotta questions??

Hey ron. I just checked on NRMP and it states 4 seats are going for the match. The PD was great, very nice man, we talked about my academic performance, what i'm looking for in a program, goals, family, arts and other crap (lol)... yidda yidda yidda. Was about 40-45 minutes, program coordinator came in twice to tell us to move on.. it was a nice conversation. this isn't my first choice though. GL
