Patience is needed on both sides during the scramble Please don't contact programs before you are allowed to! This year it's March 18, 2008 at noon eastern time. Here's the info from the NRMP:

"Locations of all unfilled positions are released at 12:00 noon eastern time. Unmatched applicants may begin contacting unfilled programs at 12:00 noon eastern time."

Applicants learn on March 17 if they matched or not - PROGRAMS DON'T HAVE ANY INFORMATION AT THAT TIME. The next day, programs learn if they filled or not. PCs are not allowed to tell candidates anything before noon on March 18th.

Good luck all

Thanks bbb!! Hope I match because I decided not to go for the scramble, for me the scramble is like playing the lotery or in a slot machine and I am never good at those things. Good luck everyone! nod

From all that I have read about you Glo MD, from the different boards - you shouldn't have a worry! Good luck in the match.

Thank you so much dear bbb for the kind words! Coming from you they are like music to my ears! I am not confident but I am calm and in peace with myself and with God's decision and I am hoping for the best... God bless you for all your help and wisdom! nod
