covered most of the uw qs in Hepatobiliary yest'day.
few things are left though related to micro.
anyway, will come back to it, but for now sticking to the schedule, starting hematology.

Yest'day Hematology : did UWqs, referred goljan, FA.
About to start Neurology today. There are lot of qs in UW frm neuro, I am afraid if I could able to finish them !

I am doing qs first and then the review. ( not good??? )
I did only few qs in my first reading, and i didnt utilize uw effectively.
So,for now i am using uw for revising the material i already read and learning some of them, rather than for testing myself.
I prepared the list of topics systemwise, in the order of my weakness.
I am taking one system at a time, say GIT. I am combining GIT + Pathology
and completing the qs as many are there. Then i am taking GIT+ physio, pathophysio---> completing all the qs. like wise in anatomy, micro, pharmac.
I am not including Beh sci or statistics .
I am not selecting all the subjects everytime i do 50 qs becoz thats making the review difficult as i am using the qs for revising and learning. Instead of that, selecting one subject at a time with one system is making the review easy for me.
Once i complete all the qs in GIT, i start reviewing them.
while reviewing the qs, i run some important notes parallel to that topic in the kaplan/goljan material or just highlight them.
Once i am done with it, i complete GIT portion of patho, physio etc in FA.
Then i go through those points once.
You can comment on any of the above, and do pointout my mistakes and suggest accordingly.

I think it's good, though may b time consuming , but u will kn all well in all books completely in all subjects of that system .
So by doing so, ur not taking much notes or any notes at all from UW Qs ??
So u think UW sh start at 1st read ??
Thanks for the reply post in detail . I might do system after my this read , not decided yet , apart from that the rest will b same in my plan like review KAp , RR etc of main book/books , FA then , Qs , then may b will not review again, if can get retain some at 1st time , will see .
But will try to review more in main & check others in that subj or system if doing in system .

Hi ShweHope99.9998,
I feel like- i should have done uw qs subject wise/ chapter wise, and feeling bad for not taking the uw subscription soon enough. I think that helps the second read more productive and fast.
Regarding the notes,
while listening to audios either kaplan or goljan, I did run some notes they emphasized in the lectures. I did questions at the back of each chapter, then again i took notes from those qs at the respective topics.
When i start reviewing UW, i open the book and refer that topic whereever it is, most of the time i found that those are mentioned in material already, either hidden somewhere, or i didnt take notice of it or failed to understand the way it is put in the qn !
In doing so, if i find it in the notes, i just highlight/underline it, Otherwise i will write it down. UW is helping me know the weak areas, and the negelected ones too !

These weekends come in no time ! already a week past, and a long weekend ahead ! i dont feel like i did much in the entire week ! last two days have been unproductive, out of some nonspecific reasons ......

We all have good , bad day so , try to catch up , but do not let that happen so often that will make study mood , confidence slow down , so keep it up GT , u can do it.

i love your quotes and you find each one very appropriate to the sitaution .very nice quote i must say .i completely dont feel bad when weekends come may be i became more of a mom and a wife than a student and that is not so good especially for my studying .its been 2 and half years my son was born and i have been busy since .earlier it would take me much longer to decide what to cook how to do stuff in kitchen and etc but now the ideas come in seconds .i guess everything goes back to the same quote practise makes man perfect . now my son is grown up ,this morning my dad called me and was aking me whyyyyyyyyy didnt you leave nikhil with me so u could study more {nikhil my son }i guess i should put all this in my journal ,not yours .sorry .but guyton i feel that i am coming back to the studying world .my husband got busy with his work ,my son is able to take care of himself . and he goes to full time school .so i think with the help from you all i should come back to the students life again .
