B..

i will choose E. it is more open ended statement than choice B

  #4

but introduction is more important, and as the patient feels depressed the Dr. needs to address the depression too.so B is more appropriate.

  #5

I ll go fr E.

I would lean toward B. You have a depressed person and need to make him feel welcomed and cared for, so that the patient can talk. Otherwise he will stay mute. I think not only depressed people need a nice attitude, everybody does!

this q is from Qbank and the answer is B.

  #9

definitely b...always introduce.

  #10

The first thing you do when you see a patient is to introduce yourself. then talk ahead. The depressed patient might be absorbed in something and wouldn't care to analyse you are a doctor or someone else.

Its not courteous to jump start a conversation with someone you dont know or are meeting for the first time.

Introducing yourself first fits into a professional code of conduct.

The answer is definitely B.
