hi
im IMG , i fieled my step 1 , im currently doing reserach in a university program, as apost doc , is there any one here to know do i have really chance to get residency if i pass my step1 on asecond attemt, i dont have greencard , im on visa here
please serious answer dont guess , i really dont know should i stay here continue or back home !! just i wan a know whao is my chance

Hi One of my friend also failed in CK ,
but he got into good IM residency.
He said that even though he failed , he got good score (90) next time which covered it. In the IV also he gave a reasonable excuse that he was sick at time of first exam. He got J1 visa
And also since u are doing research and if u get a good publication in a peer reviewed journal, you will be having good chances.

Don't give up. It happens.
I know a couple of people who failed one of the steps but kept going. It all paid well eventually.
I say keep the fight up and don't lose hope.
