hi kalyann, this is sumedha, i am following ur thread well since 2 days and am trying to study follow ur study schedule and want the same aim as u have 99percentile , well i like ur motivation and spirit it is amazing and guiding . well tell me how to study path 1 st hear the golgan cd and then read the book or vice versa .and is the new edition required .i am planing to match 2009 so i need ur help

goljan audios are suited to match his 500 ( 200 gen + 300 systemic path ) pages notes or Rapid Review book .
U ought to listen to 30 hrs audio lectures with either of these notes.
Since patho and pathophysio counts for 60-70% of the exam, its wise to spend the same amount pf prep time for them. So if u can chalk out a schedule for abt 9 days and daily listen to 200 min of lectures while looking at the notes and then sit down for say 4-6 hrs gettign everything learnt from the same. u r done with pathophysio in 9 days .
One more advantage with Goljan Audio is that he revises physio and biochem and genetics as he integrates them into pathology. So that is the reason i included them in my prep plan with only 33 days left. Starting his lectures in 3 days .

well thanks for the guidance , tell me is the new edition of golgan ie the 2007 one is different than the old one and an essential requirement .also well i have started with ur day 1 plan with micro path and biochem .well path understood the way , micro read it in ur thread and wht bout biochem . and how much time the entire day 1 plan is suppose to get over. together with it wht should be the way u practice and do mcq , 1st frm usmle world , nbme or kaplan q bank (i have the one in the cd ) /q book ?

I am with u on this path prep...
Did the goljan audio...long ago, forgot most of it...so back to square 1 for path...it is worth it. by the way, some people mention webpath...what is it??? Should I take it?

Webpath is a free internet resource to pathology gross specimens and slides.Also there r neuroanat gross pictures and histology slides

great work kalyan.... you got the rite spirit.. i totally understand wen u said that gettin scared of the result reduces effectiveness of study...
i had same prob...just take it one day at a time... do all u can TODAY... remember keep pushing your limit... possibilities of human mind is unlimited.. and just DONOT worry about the result... this is a game... enjoy the action now..giving it your best is equivalent to a 99...

I f u like somebody explaining it to u ( aka spoon feeding ) and u retain and understand well , then the dvds are defintieli for u.
Must watch acc to me : Physio; Biochem & Mol Bio ; Neurology ; Path Goljan ; Immuno ; Behav Sci ( MUST MUST WATCH or els we cant make any sense of the kaplan notes w/o them)
Others can very weel be skipped i opinionate.

thanks a lot kalyann, well i am studying biochemistry first aid and micro, well unable to keep up with path as he keeps on referring to biochemistry concepts , which makes it diff to continue . i feel 24 hr day is falling short .

tia.... if u revise goljan again then u r done with physio biochem and path revision at the same time...
its in progress... its all quite new to me... the whole mol bio scenario... so taing my own time in learning them... while i complete path and pharmac in next 7 days.
