hi kalyan i am new here i really admire ur posts & ur motivation i got some rays from you so i decide to be the member of this journal family where goal is same ,determination is same ,dreams are same ,only one thing is different is that is circumtances.but i hope in the end the resuls will be same too sooner or later.

While giving the first serious read to bacteria u shudnt be concentrating on the DD
Its when u completed all of micro..... the real important chapters come to ur rescue at the end of the text with titles :
Comparative microbiology
Flow charts /Clue sheets etc etc
These are nothing but DD represented in a different way.
Dont mug up all those DD while in first read.. u will get really pissed off when u cant recall them. They only make sense when u r done with all of the microbiolgy helping u make interlinks b/w pieces of similar information with 1 or 2 distinct features of its own.

Hi!! Kalyan, i've been meani ng to write here for sometime now never got around to it. Anyway u r insights and inputs on how to go about studying each and every subject how to remember them and review them are really awesome.They really help one and all. Man!! where do u get it from.
U remind me of those Missiles once launched they don't change direction or give up unless they reach their target. u also remind me of my sons thomas the tank engine chugging away to glory.this tank engine is a fiesty little guy who never gives up and is also helping one and all.Anyway enough of metaphors. I'm sure u get the picture.U r an inspiration is the bottom line.

i am increasing my pace .. micro is nt a prob for me... for me time is a prob... wich i need to spare while listening to goljan patho and study his notes and all.
so online every 4 hrs generally for 5 min time.

Play some simple games like completing Neisseria, Pseudomonas, Brucella Bordetella, Legionella and helicobacter in 2 hours..... read as if after 2 hrs u wil be writing a usmle on only these concepts... doing so u can finish the topics in time and also concentrate more on the bold portions in kaplan notes... i am setting myself such short games in my prep so as to not to be lacking behind.
So once u complete them.... Read those bacteria thru first aid for another 1/2 hr.
Then take a white paper and keep the side headings...
Genus, Imp Species, Distinctive characteristics, Reseroir, Trasmission , Pathogenesis,
Diseases caused, diagnosis , treatment , Prevention.l
Now try to jot down as many points u learnt as possible.
Remember this is ur Usmle on onli those bacteria..
If u cud jot down almos tall imp points,. then u r game fr microbiology.
The key with these crammable subs like micro pharma are that u need to study FA for those daili some chapters to keep ur Short term memory sharp enuf..
and regarding questions.... it depends on wich sub qs u r doing and how many.
Take a high yield book 183 pgs for Gross Anat or 145 pgs for NA,
Read daily 20 pages... while going to bed ... Read it loud so that u can feel as if its a story told to u... I read few chaps ... they seem to be written just like that... Facts presented in a nice narratable way..... so u willl be done with those Anat components within 8 days.. without any feelable stress....

Nothings wrong with u.
Dont see them as 100 UW qs but as some high yield topics / qs wich u are very likeli to be tested on the exam... It means u have very carefulli gone thru the explanations o fUW ..thats why its taking such long time... good going but make it a point to limit ur review per block to max 2 hrs. so thaat if u do 100 qs u are glued to UW for max 6 hrs.. then try to review watever u want for another 5 -6 hrs.. u will do gr8
we hav the confidence in u
its onli fr u to realise u can do it more faster .

i am currenlty doing Molecular biology and trying to get a hold on the subject.and also will do rest of bacteriology and rest of chapters in physio.. the skeletal and heart muscle in the next 2-3 days
Meanwhile i am learning HY gross anat and Neuro anat once in a while....
