OK so.I have scheduled a 7 day schedule to complete the following systems and individual topics( System completion includes Anat-Physio-Path and Qs and Relevant Pharmac ):
Haematology
Pulmonology
CVS
Musculoskeletal
Dermatology
General Pathology
Bacteriology
Immunology
Neuroanatomy
Biochemistry
Mol Biology
Genetics
PS : This is my 3rd read of few topics and second read of some and first read of some....After this 13 day schedule i wanna equalise my knowledge and concept database for all topics and more so on the HY ones... Thats the aim... Will simulatneousli do UW qs...
I am going to do it this time.... No No No... I wont speak .. .I will do and then speak abt it...
Below as attachments u can find my Checklists i prepared for these 7 days.... and i am gonna read learn study each topic / chapter from kaplan and FA and then next day take a test and then according to that ... i shall assess my comfort level with that topic... and write it down in the right hand side rectangle...

To sumedha,
I suggest u do NBME Forms 2,3,6 online as a Real exam simulator... and appreciate the fact that that will be the score u will get when u are made to sit on the real exam on the next day... That shows ur knowledge base and test taking skills.. So u gotta analyze which is defective and study for 10 more days revision and then take another nbme...
I will do total 3 nbmes out of 6..I want to look them as pairs... 3 pairs...
Out of pair of 1 & 2 = I chose to do 2
Out of pair of 3 & 4 = I chose to do 3
Out of pair of 5 & 6 = I chose to do 6
I suggest first taking NBME 2 then NBME 6 then NBME 3...as they are in the order of increasing difficulty.....
And then once u do a nbme form online,in the next 10 days... u must revise that form from the downlaoded links.. and then also the other form out of the pair...I mean if u do... NBME form 2 on say 10th June... U get a score of 600 = 230 on exam.. u will get performance profile by which u can analyse ur weak areas and strong areas ... so u can, in the next ten days, consolidate ur weak areas and even strengthen ur strong areas and also revise the form 2 along with form1....
Then next nbme exam.. so on and so forth.....

Collagen synthesis defects......at various steps and associated disorders - briefly write to me in my journal please !` ..the biochemistry partt !
For eg : EDSyn wher is the defect and OI, etc.
I often mix thm.
so, i am asking u so that i can keep it to my memory with clarity.

I dnt post much......but i guess u deserve a thanks frm my end...as i keep visiting ur journal and somehow i get motivated to open my step buks after that........u manage to do a lot of studying in a single day :-).....i keep getting depressed just by thinking that have so delayed thsi exam....neways with the kind of spirit u have u will definetly get match 2009.......the very best of luck for step 1 and teh match 2009.......tc

The whole process starts in August.. We shud buy some ERAS token for 75 $.. then we get a AAMC ID number.. then we need to send the required docs lors etc thru post to them , personal statement submitted online etc etc and also complete our application CAF forms online ... and u can appli with onli one score in hand tooo..... and then update them as and when u get the scores.....
The reason behind applying to atleast one program on Sept 1st is that ECFMG will scan ur documents and attach them to ur online account, onli if u apply to any one residency program, so that PDs can downlaod from them..which usually takes 15 days of time...Onli filling in forms and and sending in docs wont make ur Online ERAS application complete.... So by doing this u can be ahead by 15 days and if ur scores come by October...It will automatically be sent to PDs the very next moment.... and U can update them thru email that u r Step 2 CK / CS scores are available for download and/or u r now ECFMG certified....etc etc and then hope for interviews....
I known many people who gt ECFMG certified in Nov-Dec and gotten 4-5 interviews and gt selected in prematch and also match tooo..
So i sincereli advise u to concnetrate onli on Step 1 .,... Finish that ASAP... then when i do this stuff in July End or Early August i shal let u know everything in minute details ... No offense meant...
PS : There are professional services like UW who charge 400 $ to write down a CV, Personal Statement etc etc.....I may approach them cos i will be busy writing exams and stuff so i cant concentrate well on doign such creative things.....afterall scores matter more than SOP.
There are lots of things to be taken care of...
First u shud beconcerned abt now is STEP 1 EXAM. and maybe Verification of ur Medical Credentials...Pls do it if u didnt start it.... and also plan on getting few LORs from ur professors back home at July End...
