Kaplan Qbank USMLE

I was doing uw these days but with very poor score . I have done 15 units with timed/unused/mixed/all 50 Qs in each unit .

Alhough some person said that this percentage is not important, I was so worried about my step1. And the worse thing is that I found for some points especially in Bio/Neuro, even I know they are very important and had found them in Qs several times, I can not remember them so sure and result in repeated mistakes.

My exam is 5 months later, and now I'm trying to spend more than 5 hours a day, I don't know whether I need to stop uw and read FA 2-3 times before re-start uw, or do I need to read KP notes again? Honestly I didn't read them very well for the first time, the only time.

Since I was full time working in day time. The best way I could think out is continuing uw without caring the score, remember as much as I could. Then read FA 2 times when uw is finished; and spend 1 months to do KP Qbank, and the last month only for FA and Qs notes. Is that applicable? I was do stress with current status.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

you have to at least have some basic ideas before you start doing questions, otherwise, you will just a lot of questions wrong

you have to review that particular subject before you start doing those questions,

dude you are going the other way around. Scores are mattered when you have done complete thorough reading of the material. When you have done complete and a very thorough reading of the material then venture out with UW and others. Otherwise in the initial stage go through Kaplan Qbook and questions at the end of the chapter. Otherwise you will be wasting time and money and effort. Once you are sure that you have a grasp on the material then go with KQbank and then finally with UW. When doing these questions the trick or the main idea is to figure out where you went wrong and what soret mistake you did and why did u do it in the first place. Time and money are both precious and thus should be used wisely but more important than them is the energy you will spend going through the material and then end up getting bored distracted and disheartened.

My advice to you is go back to the books and dont waste money on questions yet. Do the questions given in the Qbook. And then when doing the questions treat them as your learning and assessment tool so that you know what sort of mistake you are doing and why and what should have been the best way to attempt such a question.

thanks for you guys!
I'm really sad with my slow progress. Actually, I had read the books once before my starting questions and finished reading Qbook. I just cann't remember the points even I know they will we tested again!

My current average of uw is 42%, which around 10% percent lower than the general average. I find that the worse subject is biochemistry/pharm/neruo, even I had rad these books again last month.

Yes, I'm also eager to read these books again so that to perform better in uw, but I'm slow in reading, which would cost me several months to review KP notes again. And how to deal with my current uw, which has been paid for three months? I have spent more than 800 bucks just for books and Qs sad

I want to read books at day time and do Qs at night, but I have to go to work. Then how about read in work days and do uw Qs in weekends? What kind of uw score should be ok when I'm doing the practice? I find almost all the 99 guys got >60% in the experence. I'm not greedy for 99, but honestly I do need a scoe over 95.

Thanks again for your advice.
