farnsworth is right nikki. i personally feel you already are over prepared for this exam. you are just lacking that confidence. only remember the great success you had in past and take the exam. you'll do more than great.....i have confidence in you

..I love this forum as I get such alot of encouragement when Im lost.
Today I read critical care from WM and did 50 Q bank quest with exaplainations. Im done with 44% of the Q bank. Last 3 days didn't touch the questions. have to do 50-100 every day!
Tomorrow will begin with Infect Ds. Its big but imp! Such alot to do!!!!!!!!!

Goodmorning!
Its a rainy saturday so I did not go out for a jog and woke up late. Had my breakfast.
Im going to start with WM. Inf disease..too big..if i finish it today i will give a pat on my shoulder
A person is a success if they get up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.

Gosh I just filled up my form !!!!!!!
Now I have to buck up!! go fast! be realistic! and believe in the fact that Im going to face this exam again!!....
Its midnight and I cant sleep. I am half way through Inf disease in WM. Im going to finsh that before going to bed and tomorrow I will do alot of questions...lets see how many!
I have to finish WM at least imp topics...without that Im not going to takae this test. Now I have to begin doing ccs cases too...will make a nice timetable and then stick to it. now time has come that I should be studying without distractions. BUT there are many distractions. I have to FIGHT FIGHT and WIN !!!!

I am applying for step 3 now...and just wnat to make sure a few things.

Hey jack- Dont know about graduation program
USMLE id and ECFMG id is same ...i filled ECFMG id.
U can notarize in any local bank . u just have to carry your government issued id.

Monday 10th.
Today I plan to read GI, Liver and HIV from WM.
Match results are about to come...if I match I will have to take step3 soon ..soon by march end . I should be studying hardest possible!...
Quest to ask from mysle...Can i study more?
Ans- 3 times more! Then why not more...more....more!!!

I am sorry that I was out for a while . I am glad to see that docnikki took over the journal . That s really a good boost for me since I am not studying like I used to do for others steps .
Don t loose faith nikki . You have cleared the most important steps in your life , so there is no way that last one could stop you . So keep doing your thing and you will do just fine ok .
I just finished Ped and now started with Psych . For some strange reason , I scored very low in CK psych . May be those questions were too long .This time , I am gonna focus on this subject BIG TIME .

Finally I am done with step 3 studying . Now it is CCS TIME , the only problem is I don t know how to tackle that subject .. not too familiar with it . I m gonna read FA and USMLE CD to see what is it about ?
Any advice y all ?

for ccs I would suggest going through the thread approach to ccs I once read on this forum...I think in support forum..
Im working ok q bank...scoring low...finding questions tricky now.. plan to finish Q bank soon in a week.

Hi everyone...it seems no one is coming here ...match tension!!
I am almost done with internal medicine...I will not say completely done because nothing can be completed..esp IM.....I have some parts of WM to cover and some of my weak topics to go over...but I feel like studying obgyn now...Im not sure if i should begin obgyn or complete WM first...and a few topics from kaplan IM book ( opthal, dermat, radiology and toxicology)
I have done 60% of qbank...I always get bored when Im done with 60-70% of any q bank and then its hard to finish it!...questions are taking most of my time and I am not getting a good amount of time to raed theory.
I feel I should do obgyn and then later get back to IM. That will keep me motivated anad in pace. at the same time I will have to do 70-80 questions a day in order to finish my Q bank before it expires.
Match day is coming soon...Goodluck everyone!!

I am doing CCS now , just tring to get familiar to the USMLE CD sample to get a good grasp of it .
CS result is in 2 weeks , I am kinda nervous right now but no matter what happen , I cannot give up at this stage . I MUST keep moving .

Hi friends!! I matched!
cant believe it! 92/91/csa passed/step3 failed/ no USCE/ no US LOR/ for sure matched in H1, IM program ( but now visa depends on when i manage to take step 3 and if program waits).
Guys I cant believe it!! Only thing i can say is God is great!!
I have a BIG motivation to study for step3 now! I want to nail it by MId april )
will write where I matched on 20th...wow!!! today partying...no studies only food!

congrats nikki...it was so nice to hear from you yesterday. you were having so much fun. thats great.
doc_clotaire you'll do fine in cs. you are a source of motivation for so many ppl.
i got matched as well. lets see if its a J1 or H1 program. it really doesnt matter as i am not prepared to take step 3 soon but i'll will try my very best to take it before starting residency.

Syra !! Congratulations to you too..it was nice talking to u yesterday...we were so excited! I spent all my time partying and slept quite late. Now Im up and have made up my mind how I am going to get ready for step3. I feel i need time till mid april. Im going back to india in april end so one reason for taking step3 in april is trying for H1 and another is getting done with it before leaving from here so that i can enjoy at home.
I have 388 quest left in q bank. I cannot go to exam before doing UW( last time did it but dont think did it nicely) I havent begun with ccs cases yet. and among subj I only finished IM ( but small topics still remain from kaplan and some parts of WM remain)
so my targets should be such that I am able to finish-
1) Kaplan q bank in 4 days.
2) FA this week
3) crush ( selectively)
By this Sunday, 23rd March must be done with FA, crush and must have finished q bank and remnants of kaplan IM notes and my UW ck notes.
4) IM ( WM) finish by end of next week.
5) Beginning of next week ( monday 24th) will start UW...80-100 quest a day...so that i finish in 12 days....ie by 4th -5th april.
6) ccs cases 5-6 every day from today...so will finish in 2 weeks...so by end of next week ( 29th march) must be done with them.
7) I have to read obgyn anad pediatrics from kaplan notes...so lets see how I make time for that...I need 4 days for pedia and 3 days for obgyn...my pediatrics is severely weak!
probably will do these in april when I will only have Uw questions remaining.
7) I have to do certain topics that I am weak at and I dont find my sources complete for that...so that will be a challenge as i will have to search internet for those topics...and I have to "make" time for that by finishing my above taragets a little before time..
So I guess I did not leave anything in my timetable
Yes NBME...I dont know when to take that.,...the only thing I know is Im NOt going without an NBME test and Im not going to take NBME before I finish pediatrics and obgyn. This NBME really scares me...it can shatter ur confidence and literally doesnt mean that u will not do well in exam if u dont do well in nbme...but still especially when its ur second attempt it can play with u! I need you my friends in those times of self doubt and fear...I really need to be take this exam soon.

One more time , Congrats to all who have matched this year especially nikki and syra . Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot to me . I will try to follow your steps and hopefully I will match next year .
Nikki , do not be afraid to take NBME , I know how you must feel right now but look back in your step 1 and 2 scores and your struggle to the match and you will find the motivation you need to nail step 3 . Go ahead and good luck .
Today I did some CCS cases in FA and also wanna listen to CCS KAPLAN CD . I am going slow but at least I am doing it guys  .

thanks again for your motivation..I will follow your advise. I am still in alot of excitement...couldnt sleep yesterday night without taking alprazolam...and today my attention span is too small to focus on studies...I dont want to remain excited its killing me I have to come down ...calm down...and believe in the reality that i still have step3 remaining.
In the next 3-4 days Im am trying to finish q bank and FA.
