Feeling too depressed !

What people say:

Knock the door -Idid
Drape -I did
Running commentary -I did
Wash hand -I did
Empathy to patient-I did

What I forgot/My mistakes:
Counselling in majority of cases
Asked one widower-are you sexually active
Tried to finish cases before the bell rang(Left room before)
Not smiled continuously

I failed in all three component !!!

SEP:Language- Don't know what went wrong? Accent or I was too fast?
CIS: Don't know what else they expected?
ICE: My performance was borderline/close to low pass: My writing was responsible for it?

Did UW+FA both and made diagnosis in 11 cases/One was very vague fatigue case

As per the CS Directives, you do not have to discuss with other candidates inbetween /during the breaks(Lunch etc you get): But unfortunately I did !
Was this the breach of regulation-and responsible for my failure??

My center was Philly !

I request everybody on this forum to help me out-and give your honest opinion/Advice!

really feel sorry for your result, but let me tell you one thing this is not the end of the world.
first thing you should do is ,forget about the past and start as a beginer. to be frankly its really hard to recollect all the things what went wrong at the time of exam bcoz so much of pressure is there.
I took my exam in houston in dec.
prepared for exam for 7-10 days.
started with first aid let me tell you I didnt read the mini cases first.
than came to usmle world cases these 2 things are more than sufficient.
2nd thing try to find out study partner if not any person at ur home or ur friend can bcome ur pt.
after reading all the cases .start practicing on ur friend in time mode ask ur partner to start stop watch before you knock the door .simulate the exam
my exam experience
took about a minute b4 entering the room .so many times i was the last one to knock the door
write pt name look at the complaint
always write pam hugs foss no matter what ,you always have to ask these ques.and what i did on rt side of my hx taking sheet wrote PPD(smoking hx)
cage and sexual hx made a mark if any one of them was positive this helped me for councelling bcoz never missed any thing it was on my sheet in bold letters.after hx summarized important positive points.than asked the pt if he wants to add up some thing or not no matter how much you ask u tend to forget something by asking the pt he wants to add up some thing or have any q vl show ur concern .go for physical always ask permission b4 doing any thing.and afte exam tell him what impression u have got and ur plan like Ix and in the last say thanx to pt for his cooperation and tell him u vl meet again with all Ix reports and vl discuss Rx option
what i always did draped the pt in the begining after taking his permission
.always smile and ask pt whether he or she is comfertable or not.
ask open ended question
dont hesitate to write down important stuff and look at pam hugs foss if you forgot to ask something u can ask during physical examination .believe me i did this in almost everycase .just be care full to make an eye contact and stop doing examination that time and then you can carry on.
it might feel funny but always ask pt permission b4 doing anything like ,now i m going to give you a physical 4 that i need to untie ur gown is that ok with you. i m going listen to ur heart is that ok with you.means ur pt is ur boss. always say thanku for being so cooperative, then tell ur diff dx, plan like what Ix and why.
at the and say good bye and never forget to tell him that u vl meet again with all reports and then ur gonna discuss Rx option.and just come out of the room and write pt notes the pt Hx sheet vl really help u this time bcoz everything vl b covered.
and the last thing be comfident and show this confidence to ur pt.
and practice alot in time mode even writing notes.
and believe me you are gonna clear this exam this time for sure.
gudluck I hope this vl help u little bit if any q please dont hasitate to ask

CIS Scoring is" very subjective " from one SP to another , I know many Excellent people with 90+ in step1/2 and they failed although they did everything mentioned in FA/UW.
Accent also plays a major role .

I think people need to complain about that to NBME staff !?
