Based on nrmp 8-9 is safe. Do not rank the ones you don't like to be trained in.

very true.... you have to be absolutely sure that you are willing (to a different degree) to go to any of the programs that you put on the list. if you feel like "i better not match at all than go to this program" do not put it on the list....
if "i better match to THIS program then not match at all" is stronger than the above feeling, make the list as long as possible....
but it is really up to you, and whatever you do, you are the one who will live the results

thanx ppl....yup im not gonna rank those places (1-2) where id prefer not going even if it means being unmatched.....if God forbids that happens , i think i will have better chances next yr and will get the much needed usce in thw meanwhile to make my case look even stronger........thanx and gl to all of u!.........the wait is just killing me!.......now thers nothing more to do .....i think im on the verge of bcoming psychotic and am always edgy!...... ...

next year's match is gonna be tough, cos it is going to have a lot of pre-load from all those who didnt match this year

A- you dont rank where you do not want to be train and be out of residency not scramble and wait for the next year
B- Rank ALL OF THEM and at least be in residency
What do you guys think?

for me?? they offer me residency on top of an oil platform in north sea..i'll take it!! there r amg's out there that apply to 40 programs, get 38 iv's, go to 10 and rank only 5..now.. all depends what u want and how confident u r..i ranked all my iv's including the north sea ..GL and the best wishes 4 all..
