bioguy wrote: if you go through this site (for which you don't have time, i understand), you will realize that people use multiple different sources of study material, but 99.99% recommend going through kaplan, and thats even more emphasized if one is an old graduate, because thats the only optimized way to utilize your time and get the most out of it. from what i have gathered, First Aid is another indispensable resource. and you already have USMLE WORLD in your list. you 'may' forego Qbook, if you are already into Qbank. this is what i think, mind you i haven't given step1 yet.
+ hey liblinrock..kap notes,FA n UW/kap qbank R THE PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS!!.. rest is optional resources....most important revision..revise!revise!! GL buddy

96 grad that means you must have through the stuff earlier than that. Then every word for you in Kaplan is a gem. Whether it takes a long time or not just go through every word and line and slowwly. With a 10hrs/day study period it takes exact 4 months to for your first read. with less than that 6months that the average time an old grad spents on studying (old img= Me too). So balance your time table and just for it Use Goljan for Patho and his audios and Kaplan audios load them to your ipod or portable mp3 player and listen to them while in the house traveling and free time will save a ton of time listening to audios sort of re-enforces the idea and concept and thus its faster when you listen to it and add notes to ur book. Make concepts and you will be fine. Make a prep journal and track yourself or ask anyoe they keep track of you and then help you out. in any and every way they can.

If u are an old grad like most of us then achieving high score is mandatory or you can as well forget about residency. You do not have time NOT to devote time to studies. Like new_n_lost suggested buy a good mp3 player and download kaplan and Goljan lectures to it. Listen to it wherever you go and in no time you will resurrect all the dormant basic science knowlege you stored away during med school and some more. All you need is daily 3-4 hrs of concentrated high yield study interspersed with Qbank practice. Limit your study source to Kaplan Notes, Goljan RR pathology and audio, FA, and UW Qbank done in 50 qs blocks.
