Hello My name is Dr. ABC . I am staff Doctor In this Hospital/Clinic.I going to Interview you today by asking you some Questions and I will do a physical Exam. Are You MR. XYZ(Last Name). Did I pronounce your name correctly.

Let me cover you with drape (Don’t say let me made you more comfortable,don assume patient is comfortable……ask him are you comfortable).SP sits for 15 minutes man think what will happen to our back if we are at his/her place…..On test be a human).
Don’t think about D/D on your mind go with open picture and follow SP answers.To pass test concentrate on SP not on yours …….Ofcourse smile as much as you can unless patient is in distress
So let we get started
2. What Made you come in today?
After History …….Thank you for answering my questions now I need to do a physical exam let me wash my Hands Excuse me.
Let me start the examination, Ok …..OK DOCTOR
Than examination
Than summarize HX, Sir/Madam you told me you started with ……….and ………….etc etc. Is that right
Sir I need to run some tests that include blood tests, X-Rays (please no Hb%, TLC,DLC)
We may also need some sophisticated Imaging which will tell us what is going on (NO CAT scan,MRI please )to tell what is . Once the test results will come we will meet again and go over this once again and decide for best treatment options available. I want to assure you Sir/Madam I will do my best to help you.Ok Do you have any questions or concerns….
I am very happy that I was able to work with you. Take care (Please no good day as patient is ill so no Good day for him)
3. When you start sexual history please don say it will be confidential , say it at the start of interview ,Everything thing about Hx and PE(I say about patient) is confidential. So why to say at Sexual HX
4. on the test you are Generalist please don’t try to be Cardiologist,Neurologist,pulmonologist,
5.PRACTICE,PRACTICE ,PRACTICE………I FAILED FIRST TIME I WAS OVERCONFIDENT NOT ANYMORE TESTS IS TEST SO PLEASE DON’T TAKE IT EASY
6.IF YOU HAVE MONEY JOIN DR SWARTZ C3NY CLASSES .He knows Everything of this exam.
