In a pregnant woman with chronic seizures, and is under therapy with Valproic. What is the best step? to switch to phenobarbital or she can continue with the same drug?

if the therapy is effective, stay with the drug (can take a long time to find the appropriate dosage when switching to another medication -> seizures, as well as high plasma concentrations of anticonvulsant medications endanger the fetus)
