r anal fissures in an infant suspected to be due to child abuse?

  #2

Constipation is the most common cause of anal fissures in an infant. By themselves, they are not considered for child abuse.

How old is the kid?
check for anomalies, and have in mind possible abuse to the kid.
Always first rule out the possible medical causes, but how can you know if the kid is really constipated?
