greetings all. I've read through a lot of your experiences prior to my first post here. I Just wanted to have an on-line resource. I will be begining my full time study for the USMLE 1 this weekend. Im just curious of your opinions on my material and am looking for some advice on how to go about this. Heres what I am planning on using

Kaplin books (just the books, not the lectures or videos)
FIrst Aid (2003)
BRS pathology and MedRevu path cards
Gold Series Review CD's (havent figured out how to use these yet)
Ridiculously simple micro & Lippincotts Micro cards
Lippincotts pharm cards
Q-bank

Last unit, I was able to read about 1/2 of Robbins but have decided to concentrate reading/studying the path stuff i have listed above from here on out due to time constraints.

Since I have just over 2 months to study (No job or other time committments) and completely concentrate on this test, I would like to have the advice of those that have already taken the test on how to organize my time.
I will be studying wiith 2 of my very good classmates and will probably follow along with them but Im not certain of their schedules yet

I hear a lot of people talking about Goljan. What is that. Sometimes is sounds like people are referring to audio tapes and other times it sounds like notes. Not sure which it is. I've even heard that there are places to download the notes for free but I tried the link and couldnt find it.
Right not im in the process of reading the Kaplan books along with other things. I will buy the Q bank next month and use it for 1 month. Have you tried this site?

http://books.mcgraw-hill.com/medical/usmleasy/ind...

The questions are free and similar to Q-bank.

I think next month I will concentrate on my high yield topics (pharm/path/micro) and do as many questions as possible. I will also concentrate very heavily on First Aid.
So far this week I've almost finished the Kaplan phys book (I am skipping the questions b/c most people say that they do not reflect USMLE style so I figured it would be better to do questions that did reflect USMLE (Q-bank, the above link, etc).
Good luck. Ill probably keep posting how things are going.
