hey friends...there was a question in nbme 3...whoever has taken the nbme 3 plz help me remember it or correct me if i'm wrong...i dont rememeber the question entirely but it was something bout bad prognostic factors in a pt with schiz....which of the followin is the worst prognostic factor in a pt with schiz...? 1. presence of co-existing affective disorder (or major depression) 2. delayed onset of symptoms (the pt was 29,so dunno if thts late??!!) 3.predominance of negative symptoms. 4.family history of schiz dont remember the 5th option...i sincerely apologise for not remembering the question entirely...i dont even have the offline copy of nbme 3 to go back and see wht the question was... answer??

According to secret series, Poor prognostic factors for schizophrenia -early onset -negative symptoms -no precipitating factors -family history of schizophrenia ( family history of mood disorder is good prognostic factor) -poor premorbid functioning -single, divorced or widowed status, poor support system
