to be honest i found some of the usmleworld explanations mind boggling. i mean the stuff you dont see or read in the books. but its a good source for tough questions. Colon Cancer is most common in the rectosigmoid junction. G- man is right on top of that even ulcerative colitis happens at the same region then spreads up. and we know that U.C is more likely to cause colon cancer than chron's disease which starts most commonly at the terminal ileum. I think for this knowing the histology and presenting symptoms also the risk factors are high yeild than worrying about which region is affected hope i helped

yes Ulcerative colitis is more common in rectosigmoid colon which has a high malignant potential which supports the point that Colon cancer is more common in rectosigmoid colon.......
