what is the difference between microsatellites and telomeres .i know that telomeres are found at the terminal ends of an eukaryotic chromosome .what about microsatellites what is their location on a chromosome .

they're also known as simple sequence repeats (SSRs).

they're basically polymorphic loci present in nuclear DNA and organellar DNA that consist of repeating units 1-4 base pairs in length--used as molecular markers.
