has anyone heard abt this place?.........there was no mention of the place on scutwork........then i read that this program has just started as of this match..........is that rue?.........

Yes, it is a new program starting this year. Applied there, but did not receive interview invitation.

I went there for iv. The PD is very smart and kind, holding a very positive perspective about the program. The scene around the hospital is fabulous. However, it is more like a community hospital with moderate size. The VA is similar. It's a bit far btw these 2 places. You get to see countless elderly patients with chronic diseases. Call schedule and curriculum were not fully decided yet. The one iv me mentioned the possibility of q4 overnight call. They kept telling us "we r the history maker as the first class! Every faculty member is a senior resident!"
Not many challenging or heterogenous cases though. The life there would be...u know, typical Florida. As for fellowship chances, u get what u want, guaranteed by PD(dont know why).
Oh, by the way, the Cuba Sandwich served on lunch was superb.
