Since I applied late for match....I am waiting for scramble...currently as of yesterday all my information went to ecfmg. Now..do I have to submit a rank order List (even if I did not interview), in order to get a unfilled position list in March. Or does everyone who registered with ERAS and NRMP, who did not match gets the unfilled position list, even if they did not rank programs?????

You have to apply to at least one program and have all your fees paid in order to be eligible for scramble... You don't need to submit a rank order list if you don't have any interviews cause you won't have any programs to rank....you will receive the unfilled position list even if you don't submit a rank order list...

Hi, everybody, Now it is time to think about Scramble seriously due to late application and a lot other disadvantages against me. Has anybody got email from eletronicresidency which says they can assist you on your scramble? can you trust them? I am wondering what you need to do on the scrambling? Can't we find out the unfilled programs on our own on the nrmp website? Can't we just call, email and fax docs to the programs on our own? I am confused that how much better the agency can do the job than ourselves? Any information and advices are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks.

If you are certainly going to scramble, there is nothing these services claim they do that you couldn't. If you are registered, you will have access to the unfilled programs list immediately. By the way, I thought only unmatched applicants will be given access to the link, but if these services will have the list, what does this mean? Either the list is open to all applicants, matched and unmatched, or they get unauthorized access (which may be the case anyway, I doubt that the list will be opend to anybody else who is not a 2008 applicant in the match). Anyway, it is critical that you are in the US at the time of scramble. No service in the world can get you in if you are abroad-programs will want to interview people, even if its over the phone. If you don't have this already, make arrangements to have Internet, phone and fax line available for those days/hours, and round up a few friends/family to help you. It will cost you a fraction of what the "services" will charge you, you will be sleepless, but will you not be anyway?
