oh........
i thought it was 5HT3 receptor, on which rispr. prim. acts...
it is an atypical antipsychotic......
i read lippincott's pharmacology and it is clearly written on there that RISPERIDONE BLOCKS 5HT2 RECEPTOR MORE THAN THE D2 RECEPTOR.

and thats why they dont hav the conventional side effects of antipychotics.

i m really confused,
plz correct me if i m wrong.

yup...

risperidone acts more prominently on 5HT receptors... Hence the atypical ADR.
