Hi there. First I'd like to say - hydrochlorothiazide & K-sparing Amiloride are the typical diuretics that are used in nephrogenic DI. What hydrochlorothiazide does is concentrate the urine. Helps to make hyperosmolar urine preserving the body's free water and decrease volume of urine.
